Living for God's glory - How does it look?Leah Perona-Wright

Length:11 minutes

John 14:15-19
Leah reads the Haggai text and introduces the idea of an eye test and adjusting the lenses to see things differently. Haggai calls on his community to see the re-building of the Temple as way of once more focusing on God and His desires for them, rather than focusing on themselves. It's the way to more clearly see God's glory and His purposes. The same is true for us to see God aright by putting in the right lenses - those that have revealed His love for us now and in the past - and move forward.

The four readings are embodied in a talk by Leah Perona-Wright during the St George's SIX service on 21st October 2018. As our body is a Temple of God, we must treat it with respect, neither harming it nor neglecting it's needs. We all want to be loved: God loves us as His beloved children just as we are. There is nothing we can do to make Him love us more, nor less. We should support each other so that we can see ourselves (and each other) through God's eyes, to be secure in who we are.
