Guildford Cathedral Flower Gala

GerberaThousands visited Guildford Cathedral, at the start of October, to view the Flower Gala, which was truly ‘A Feast for the Soul’. For those of you who missed this amazing spectacle here are a few pictures.

The nave pillar displays created by Mothers’ Union members included one by Ashtead members representing the Leatherhead Deanery.

Flower Arrangers from St. Giles’, St George’s and the Ashtead Flower Arrangement Group, sponsored by the PCC, two schools and the flower arrangers themselves, created an impressive display in the Baptistry. This interpreted a quotation from the poem ‘The Kingfisher’ by W.H. Davies:

It was the rainbow gave thee birth.

And left thee all her lovely hues.
