farnrise

Our builders, Farnrise Construction, have completed their work and are moving on.

What has been done?

The heating system has been completely overhauled. This includes providing a new boiler and some new heaters.

Wiring is discreetly hidden and the lighting effects are stunning. Come and see!!

Clergy Vestry and Facilities

We have a toilet suitable for all, with facilities for mothers and babies.

A sink, drainer, and storage cupboards are available.

There is a new door into the church wide enough for wheelchair access.

The Clergy and Readers still have adequate space to robe before services.

The Verger has his desk and storage space as needed.

Carpet

Carpet is being laid on the raised floors throughout the church.

Storage Space

New cupboards are in the south porch.

The choir vestry cupboards have been refreshed and there will be new storage spaces around the organ.

The Organ

This is the last part of the work to be done. The organ will be finished by the time we have the official opening in September.

Sound and AV

The wiring for these are hidden beneath the floors and in ducts.

There is a new loop system and the speakers and audio visual equipment are being installed by experts.

There will be facilities for both “manned” and “unmanned” services. Everyone will be able to see and hear well.

Thank you so much!

We are hugely appreciative of all the gifts we have received towards this project.

We also want to thank everyone who has been involved in the practical aspects of the work. In particular the steering group and the fundraising group.

Please continue to pray for us all during the final weeks before the re-opening.
